2010 is a Good Year for Sports!

So, one of the greatest moments in sports begun last Friday, the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, BC (British Columbia), Canada. I always felt that 2010 would be a good year for me, or rather, hopeful that I would have a good year this year.  The Olympics was always something I look forward to, simply because I am a general sports fan. I get excited just seeing all these athletes all over the world compete in these different sport events and fulfill their dreams and desires. Many athletes are just excited to be able to compete in the Olympics and experience one of the greatest, possibly a once-in-a-lifetime moment or an ongoing moment in their lives. Some athletes dream of challenging themselves that they can achieve their personal best and the whole world gets to witness these personal bests being made. And then there is the rarity where some athletes are under pressure by the expectations of their home countries where their goals are either Olympic Gold or nothing, which to many people, is a dream that is near impossible unless you seriously have to put a lot of your time and your effort— even safe to say to give up your life— in order to be perfect with whatever sport you may do.

However, the match up between past Super Bowl champ Indianapolis Colts and the underdog team, New Orleans Saints, really intrigued me to watch the actual game itself and not watch just for the witty and funny commercials. Unfortunately this year’s Super Bowl commercials were kinda weak compared to the ones in the past years.
