Ah...got it...! ^_^

Honestly, right now, OPM is so not cool. I mean, the themes, lyrics and latest kinds of songs are a nonsense, imitative, and irrelevant. I like the OPM's before, even Eraserhead's music and now, Sarah Geronimo. That's one of the reason why I'd prefer J-Pop to OPM.

Well, regarding Lent, it's just one of the things that I decided to write about. I wouldn't say it's required for anyone practicing Lent to write about it in their blogs. I guess it's a requirement for you since you said that it's an important season in the Philippines. In the U.S., keep in mind that not everyone's Catholic, so I can't really say that Lent is an "important season" in the country (as in my own country). ^_^

BTW, I think that the boy in the banner is Atsushi Otani. Am I right?

Nope, she's female. I actually have another image of that character, but the front view. She's not from any specific anime/manga series. It's one of those open character illustrations I happened to find at an anime/manga illustrations gallery. More info about the banner in the Adriatastic! section.

Yup. Sei Shonagon lived from around 930 BC till her deat in the early 1100s, so I would probably estimate that The Pillow Book (or rather, just bunches of randomness on extra pieces of paper) was written around 950 BC till sometime in the 1000s. The "blog" ended when the empress she was serving died and she was dismissed (either that or she ran out of paper to write on and she just stopped writing). I'll post a few passages/entries at another entry later.

I'm pretty sure the "art of journaling"/"keeping a diary" already existed way before Sei Shonagon's time, but it's said that hers was the first that contained nothing but random stuff. I have to admit that after reading (halfway, not finished yet) that her "blog" gave me some ideas on what to blog about when I'm out of ideas to write.

That's quite interesting. It's kinda neat to think someone "blogged" way back then. Kinda makes you think...
